University of Hanover
The University was founded by Karl Kamarsch in 1831. Since 2006 the University bears the name of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. He was a significant German philosopher and mathematician. Today there are about 25.000 students who study at the university.
Herrenhäuser Gärten - International Fireworks Competition
Meanwhile, the International Fireworks Competition in Hanover has become a well-known Tradition where celebrated pyrotechnic engineers compete during 5 nights between May and September at the Herrenhausen Baroque Gardens to present to the audience the best fireworks choreographies.
