Current Information: Coronavirus

All ÜSTRA buses and trams are operating due to the regular schedule again, except the night traffic on weekends (from Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Monday). There will be no night traffic from Friday, 6th of November, until Sunday, 10th of January.

With regards to the current development of the coronavirus ÜSTRA is already taking preventative action to ensure the health of its passengers and employees. ÜSTRA is in regular contact with the medical crisis team of the Region Hannover to limit the spread of the coronavirus. 

 

ÜSTRA customer centre remains open

The ÜSTRA customer centre in Hanover City (Karmarschstraße 30/32) continues it’s regular service. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9.30 am till 6 pm. In order to avoid large number of visitors, ÜSTRA recommends to buy tickets using the GVH app or stationary vending machines.

 

No ticket sale on busses, front doors are locked

Entrance to and exit from all busses is now only possible through the back doors. Hence ticket sales on the bus will be suspended. Alternatively, passengers can buy tickets online using the GVH App or at ticket machines.

 

TW 6000

Furthermore, first and last doors in the green train, TW 6000, are locked. ÜSTRA asks all passengers to use all other doors. 

 

Intensive Cleaning Procedures, Doors Open Automatically

All vehicles operated by ÜSTRA are already subjected to a thorough cleaning procedure on a daily basis. This includes sweeping the vehicles and an in-depth moist cleaning of all surfaces which passengers may come into contact with (e.g. straps, poles, etc.). 

Besides this, the doors of all buses and trains open automatically. 

 

Hygiene measures

  • Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
  • When coughing and sneezing, face away from others, cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue,
  • If possible, avoid body contact, don't touch your face and don't shake hands
