Deutschlandticket for school pupils, trainees and federal volunteers
You are under 23 years old and want to travel around Germany at a low price? Then we have a new Germany ticket offer for you.
With the Deutschlandticket Hannover Youth, if you are under 23 years of age and a student, trainee or federal volunteer with your main residence in the Hannover region, you can use all local public transport within Germany. The Deutschlandticket Hannover Youth is a personal subscription that costs €30.40 per month and is subsidised by the Hannover region.

Information on ordering the Deutschlandticket Hannover Youth
To order the Deutschlandticket Hannover Jugend, you need proof of eligibility.
Ticket validity
Vehicles
- for any number of trips with all the offerings of public transportation within Germany (i.e., travel with city and regional buses, suburban trains and underground, regional trains, on-demand transportation, such as sprinti in GVH in part)
Interval
- personal monthly pass in subscription
- is always issued for one calendar month (valid from the 1st of a month up to the end of the month)
Person
- Exclusively for school pupils, trainees and federal volunteers (non-transferable) under the age of 23 with their main residence in the Hanover region (to be proven by providing proof of eligibility during the ordering process).
- Additional passengers, animals and bicycles may only be transported in accordance with the local regulations of the transport company or association
- In the ÜSTRA network (zones ABC), the following applies: no additional passengers, bicycles may be transported free of charge at certain times, small pets may be transported free of charge in transport boxes as hand luggage
- Holders of a valid Germany ticket and the D-Ticket plus monthly ticket can travel free of charge on Mondays to Fridays from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day (scheduled departure time) and on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and all day on 24. and 31. December.
Traveller class
- exclusively for 2nd class
Further information on the Deutschlandticket Hanover Youth
- Long-distance trains such as ICE, IC and Flixtrain, as well as all journeys outside Germany and purely tourist transport such as cable cars, are excluded from the Deutschlandticket services, unless they are part of the local public transport system.
- However, the Deutschlandticket subscription is valid on the Bremen Hbf - Norddeich Mole/Emden-Außenhafen route on IC/EC trains.
- The conditions of carriage and fare regulations of the respective transport company/association in which you are travelling apply.
- The Deutschlandticket subscription is only valid in conjunction with an official ID card.
How to order the Deutschlandticket Hannover Youth:
- You can apply for the mobile ticket (in the ÜSTRA app) here until the 20th of the month for the following month.
- You can order the ÜSTRA chip card until the 1st of the previous month for the following month (example: for use from 1st October, an order must be placed by 1st September).
- You can cancel your Deutschlandticket subscription on a monthly basis (by the 10th of the month for the end of the month).
- You will need a smartphone with the ÜSTRA app (available for iOS and Android) or you can obtain a ÜSTRA chip card from us.
How to receive your mobile ticket:
- If you haven't already done so, download the ÜSTRA app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Register in the ÜSTRA app using the email address you provided when ordering your Deutschlandticket subscription.
- Log in to the ÜSTRA app. Your ticket will then be displayed in the ÜSTRA app no later than 48 hours before the first day of validity.
- Important: Please use the same email address when ordering and registering in the app so that we can assign your ticket.
