For spontaneous journeys and occasional trips
Single ticket
The Single ticket is valid for up to two hours for all buses, trams and trains in the selected area of validity in the ÜSTRA tariff zone. Within the selected zone, it is possible to change in the same direction of travel. Return and round trips are not possible.
Single ticket for children
The Single ticket for children is valid for children aged 6 to 14 or a dog and for up to two hours for all buses, trams and trains in the entire ÜSTRA area. It is possible to change in the same direction of travel. Return and round trips are not possible.
Short trip ticket
The Short trip ticket is valid for five stops by bus or three stops by tram. The Short trip ticket is not valid with railway undertakings, on sprinti and on express- or express bus services.
6 trip Single ticket
The 6 trip Single ticket is valid for up to two hours for all buses, trams and trains in the selected area of validity in the ÜSTRA tariff zone. Within the selected zone, it is possible to change in the same direction of travel. Return and round trips are not possible.
For one or more days full of flexibility
Day ticket
The Day ticket is valid for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains in the ÜSTRA tariff area – until 05:00 a.m. of the following day. In most cases it is already advantageous if you even only plan a return journey.
Day ticket for children
The Day ticket for children is valid for children aged 6 to 14 or one dog and for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains within the ÜSTRA tariff area – until 05:00 a.m. of the following day. In most cases it is already advantageous if you even only plan two rides such as a return journey.
Day ticket for groups up to 5 persons
The Day ticket for groups up to 5 persons is valid for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains within the ÜSTRA tariff area for up to 5 people and until 05:00 a.m. of the following day. In most cases it is already advantageous if you are traveling as a couple and only plan two rides such as a return journey.
Day ticket S (for authorised persons only)
The Day ticket S is valid for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains within the ÜSTRA tariff area – until 05:00 a.m. of the following day. It is only valid in connection with the Region S pass (Region-S-Karte).
Day ticket S for children (for authorised persons only)
The Day ticket S for children is valid for children aged 6 to 14 years and for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains within the ÜSTRA tariff area – until 05:00 a.m. of the following day. It is only valid in connection with the Region S pass (Region-S-Karte).
6 trip Day ticket
The 6 trip Day ticket is valid for as many journeys you like in the buses, trams and trains in the selected area of validity in the ÜSTRA tariff zone – until 05:00 a.m. of the following day.
Summary of tariff zones
The zones A, B and C cover the entire tariff area for all passengers – regardless of whether they use Single tickets, Day tickets or Monthly passes. Each tariff zone has its own colour, which is used always in connection with the corresponding zone designation.

- In the regional tariff, the three tariff zones D, E and F outside are added to the three ÜSTRA tariff zones. This means you can also travel from the districts around the Hannover region to the ÜSTRA fare zone or vice versa with just one ticket. In the regional fare zones, you can travel on trains operated by railroad companies. Please note that the regional fare is only valid for season tickets.
